The idea is simple:

Take one AiR flag and send it around the world. Along the way take pictures to show us the world the flag travels in. Each person signs it with their ETS or TS handle. There is even space to transfer personal artwork. We would also like to follow NIN concert tours as much as possible. It's already been in the Birmingham video! (picture)

There are some changes to the process because of the PERFORMANCE 2008 TOUR
See this post for information requirements

How it normally works:

1. Email us with at least your city, state, zip, country and ETS/TS handle.
2. We will confirm you on the waiting list and add you to the Google Map.
3. Prior to the flag being shipped to you, we will send another confirmation email to ensure you are still at the same residence, get a complete mailing address if necessary, and a phone number.
4. The current flag bearer will be given the next address and will pay for shipping. Personal hand offs are encouraged (and will be quite easy if you live in close proximity or are going to the same concert).
5. When you have the flag, take pictures and/or video. Email them back to us along with descriptions, dates, and locations. (If you know about geotagging, then please help out because we geotag as many of the photos as possible.) Provide us with whatever dialog you want in your blog entry. Be as creative as you wish.
6. Your photos, videos, and dialog get posted. Additionally, we incorporate it all into a Google Earth Flag tour.
7. Normally, we'd expect the flag to be ready in about two weeks for the cycle to start over with a new handoff.

PERFORMANCE 2008 TOUR

Trying to get the flag from one concert to the next will be quite a challenge. It will also not be possible in some cases because travel time between shows is just simply to short.

Because this pass of the flag is for concerts and you won't be allowed the normal time frame with the flag, you will remain on the list for a future time if you wish. This special concert tour doesn't affect the normal list in any way. Once the tour is over, we will resume the normal list.

Because of the additional requirements for coordinating the travel to each venue during the tour, we will need you to follow these instructions to the letter. ONCE YOU HAVE PURCHASED TICKETS, send an email ensuring that you cover each item:
1. ETS Name
2. First Name
3a. Phone Number (indicate whether cell or home)
3b. (If you are not already on the list) Complete Mailing Address
4. Venue(s) (city, state)
5. Seating (list the section or GA)
6. We need to know if you can ship the flag Next Day Air (Also, if you can receive it.)
7. We need to know if you are willing travel, how far, and on what date to pass it off to the next person for the next concert. (Also, for getting the flag.)

Please, Please, Please:
Do not send an email before you have purchased tickets. Do not sign up for this providing information that you aren't sure you will be able to do. Do not say you will travel etc without calculating the costs and time requirements. If you can only attend a concert without traveling before or after; if you won't have enough money or the time to send Next Day Air first thing the next morning, then say exactly that! Just be honest and we will get it figured out.

Oneel @ Glastonbury

On Feb 03, 2008, Oneel posted this video and message on ETS:
This is the flag yesterday......it was damned freezing. Sorry for the wait, I`ve just been crazy busy recently. I put some Glastonbury mud in there too...it sells on e-bay apparently so I thought our lil` flag could use some.

Oneel @ Somerset

After Oneel sent the video in, he disappeared and fell out of contact. We all didn't really know what to think. Months went by, and we feared the flag was lost for good. YKWYA began making a new one. Just as he was about to complete it, Oneel returned to ETS with some shocking news:
On Apr 26, 2008, "Hey, sorry its taken so long for a reply. You wouldn`t believe it but I`ve been busy having surgery on my brain..."

We're glad you're alright my friend!
